The Chiang Mai Governor Bans Fires each year and this week, Nirat Pongsitthaworn has officially announced the 2023 date range of 15 February through to 30 April 2023. The ban will prohibit open burning throughout the province of Chiang Mai. This video commences in the area of Huai Manao Reservoir and subsequently moves to Don Pao on the bank of the Mae Khan River in the middle of productive farmland. I make comparisons of a flight in October 2022, following flooding of the river. I also talk about the condition of the air quality and highlight another YouTube channel I maintain called “Chiang Mai Weather Today” where I show daily AQI readings and views of a bird table sky in the direction of Doi Suthep.
