This year we see a Chiang Mai Eco Friendly Loy Krathong. A wonderful change to previous years, where we routinely saw a lot of polystyrene krathongs. This year the banana trunk sections appears to be making up the majority of the floats, some bread made floats and minimal polystyrene. I also talk about the other festival currently being celebrated. Yi Peng, the festival of Light where Khom Loy are released into the sky, which is not to be confused to Loy Krathong.
